LAHORE
Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) organised all-parties conferences (APCs), seminars, women’s rallies and public gatherings across the country as part of its “Ashra Tashakkur” events marking the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
Speakers at the events paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the success of Bunyan-um-Marsoos had demonstrated Pakistan’s strong defence capability and national unity.
In Lahore, an APC was held under the PMML banner. PMML President Khalid Masood Sindhu, Secretary General Saifullah Kasuri, Hafiz Talha Saeed, Qari Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Ropari, Dr Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Javed Kasuri, Pir Mian Jalil Sharqpuri, Allama Nasir Madani, Hafiz Abdul Rauf, Dr Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Dr Fareed Ahmad Paracha and leaders of various political and religious parties attended the APC.
The participants praised the armed forces for their role in safeguarding national security and commended the military leadership during the conflict.
Addressing the APC, Khalid Masood Sindhu said the success of Marka-e-Haq had strengthened the country’s defence and would be remembered as a symbol of national unity and military strength. Saifullah Kasuri said the armed forces had always stood at the forefront whenever the country faced challenges.
A women Bunyan-um-Marsoos March was also organised in Lahore from the Punjab Assembly to the Lahore Press Club, where a large number of women participated. Muslim Women League (MWL) Secretary General Iffat Saeed said women have a vital role in protecting Pakistan’s ideological and national security.
Similar APCs, women’s rallies and seminars were held in Multan, Sialkot, Sargodha, Peshawar, Khushab, Chiniot, Lodhran, Peshawar, Chakwal, Pattoki, Gujrat, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Vehari, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Mansehra and Tando Adam.
Separate events were also organised in different parts of the country by the Markazi Kisan League (MKL), Pak Lawyers Forum (PLF), Muslim Youth League (MYL) and Muslim Students League (MSL). Participants from women, students and lawyers, who carried banners and chanted slogans in support of the armed forces and national unity.
