The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department will hold an open auction of personalised vehicle registration numbers on May 18 at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar.
According to the department, the auction will begin at 11am and will feature a number of special and choice registration plates based on personal, tribal and regional identities.
The personalised marks scheduled for auction include Sethi 1, Chaudhry 1, Malik 1, Baloch 1, Tank 1, Chitral 1, Charsadda 1, Bangash 1, Sardar 1, Lodhi 1, Kundi 1 and Tanoli 1, among several others.
Officials said the auction would be conducted through an open bidding process under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) Rules 2012 and the Provincial Motor Vehicle Rules.
Interested bidders have been asked to submit applications along with the prescribed security fee by May 16 at 12 noon in the name of the Director General Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department.
Provincial Minister for Excise Syed Fakhar Jehan said the initiative would provide citizens with an opportunity to obtain preferred registration numbers through a transparent process while also contributing to government revenue.
He added that the department was introducing modern and citizen-friendly reforms in line with the vision of the provincial government.
