Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan on Tuesday strongly condemned the bomb blast in Sarai Naurang area of Lakki Marwat district, describing the incident as a tragic and heinous act.
Expressing grief over the martyrdom of nine people, including two traffic police personnel, he paid tribute to the victims and said their sacrifices for lasting peace and stability would never be forgotten.
He said the martyrs were a source of pride for the nation and vowed that elements attempting to destabilise peace would not be allowed to succeed in their designs.
Shafi Jan said the provincial government remained fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and was taking all necessary measures to maintain peace and security across the province.
He also assured the bereaved families of full government support and assistance, and prayed for eternal peace for the martyrs, patience for their families and the early recovery of the injured.
