ISLAMABAD: Umar Hayat accused in Tik toker Sana Yusuf murder case has rejected the allegations leveled against him. Tik toker Sana Yusuf murder case came up for hearing in district and sessions court Islamabad led by Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka Monday. The statement of the accused Umar Hayat was recorded under section 342 during the hearing of the case. In his statement he rejected all the allegations leveled against him. The accused said in the court he had no quarrel or contact with Sana Yusuf and nor had he ever made request to meet her. He was arrested on mere suspicion because both were famous on social media. Followers of Sana pressurized police through social media. Due to it he was involved in the case.
Judge asked different questions during the hearing of the case from him. The alleged presence of the accused, getting car on rent and crime scene were part of these questions.
However the accused said repeatedly he cannot give answer without the counsel.
Later the court remarked the statement under section 342 is between the accused and the judge and there is no need of counsel in this regard.
Expressing resentment over making video during the hearing in the court the judge remarked no video or tik tok will be made in the court. ,
The accused recorded his statement again in the presence of his counsel saying he has no concern with this case. Neither he came to Islamabad nor he is involved in the incident.
The accused further said his arrest was made from Jaranwala on the basis of suspicion while police made his videos viral besides making fake rent agreement to strengthen the case.
