The Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, accompanied by Director Legal Mr. Faisal Tariq, visited Packages Converters Limited Lahore, where they received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the workers.
On the occasion, Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas, Member Governing Body Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad (Federal & Punjab), along with workers, welcomed the distinguished guests with great enthusiasm, slogans, and heartfelt appreciation.
During the visit, the guests met with the workers and appreciated the initiatives taken within the Packages Group for the welfare and well-being of industrial laborers.
The workers paid tribute to the dedication, leadership, and tireless efforts of Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas for the protection of workers’ rights and welfare. They stated that Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas has always remained actively engaged in safeguarding the interests of industrial workers and striving for their better future.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas highly appreciated Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Mr. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, for his worker-friendly policies, transparent vision, and continuous efforts aimed at resolving the issues faced by industrial laborers. Participants remarked that under the effective leadership and transparent policies of Chaudhry Salik Hussain, merit, justice, and the protection of workers’ rights have been significantly strengthened.
The workers who had recently been provided residential flats also expressed special gratitude to Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed.
They stated that due to the special interest and labor-friendly vision of the Federal Minister, along with the provision of funds by Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmed, many underprivileged workers had been able to fulfill their dream of owning a home — an initiative they described as historic and highly commendable.
The participants also praised Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed for his outstanding services to industrial workers, including welfare projects, educational facilities, residential schemes, and efforts to address workers’ issues.
They expressed hope that under his leadership, the Workers Welfare Fund would continue to play an active role in protecting and promoting workers’ rights.
On the occasion, Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas thanked the distinguished guests on behalf of Packages Group Workers Union, Industrial Workers Alliance Pakistan, and Unilever Pakistan Liaison Council.
At the conclusion of the program, traditional turbans were presented to the guests, along with honorary shields. The distinguished guests appreciated the passion, love, and remarkable hospitality shown by the workers and departed with best wishes.
