THATTA/HYDERABAD: The arrival of His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan on his first official visit to Pakistan as the 50th Spiritual Leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community has sparked a wave of jubilation among community members across the country. Like other parts of Pakistan, the Ismaili community in Sindh is commemorating the occasion with traditional fervor. Community centers, known as Jamat Khanas, across the province have been decorated with colorful lights and flags as a sign of love and reverence for their spiritual leader. Cultural events, followed by musical concerts and formal ceremonies, were held in different parts of the province to mark his arrival. Anwar Ali, a senior community leader from Sujawal, noted that this time the Spiritual Leader will grace his followers in the northern areas with his presence and convene large religious gatherings. “We are hoping that he will soon return to Pakistan to meet his followers residing in Sindh and Punjab,” he said.
