Power division has issued advisory for consumers in this regard.
Power division has said consumers are asked to share personal information in four phases by clicking a specific link.
After entering the details, users were further asked to provide a six-digit verification code on the same link.
Certain elements want to serve their nefarious designs by using QR code.
The respective information cannot be recorded on any plat form other than bill. This process of recording information is wrong and illegal.
According to power division law enforcement agencies have been informed about criminal elements. The electricity consumers should not record personal or financial information on digital device or paper-based unofficial system claiming to offer subsidies .
