ISLAMABAD: Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of Islamabad High Court (IHC) while hearing the petition against charging entry fee for the New Blue Area has inquired fee is being charged under what law. The court has directed administrator MCI to appear before it in person on Monday. The court while issuing notice to interior secretary, chief commissioner, and MCI has sought reply. Lawyers Zohaib Gondal and Hazrat Yunus appeared on behalf of the petitioner in the court. The counsel took the plea commercial markets, corporate headquarters and restaurants are located in New Blue area. However MCI is charging fee Rs 100 for using service road. In return no facility or service is being provided. The petition said imposition of entry fee in regard to New Blue Area is violation of superior court’s decisions. Therefore this step by MCI be declared illegal. The court while issuing notice adjourned the hearing of the case till Monday. ONLINE
