PTI leaders Barrister Gohar and Asad Qaisar while strongly criticizing government during debate on budget for fiscal year 2026-27 in National Assembly (NA) have dubbed the budget anti people.
They raised questions on political and economic situation in the country.
Barrister Gohar said no relief is there in the budget for the poor and middle class.
He held atta, medicines and items of daily use will be available to people at more costly rate from July 01. This will add to the miseries of people.
He advised the government to ensure adequate reserves of petroleum products in the country.
He expressed grave concern over law and order situation in the country.
Making mention of an incident he said dacoits looted family members of a body during its shifting from Karachi to Bunir. Such incidents raise grave questions with reference to protection of people.
There is need of dialogue between opposition and government , he urged.
Welcoming the recent statements of Prime Minister (PM) he said if matter of dialogue and resolution of political issues is being talked of then there should be movement forward on this matter practically.
He made it clear PTI rejects this budget because no considerable steps have been taken for addressing problems facing people therein.
Asad Qaisar while challenging the government said if it has trust on people support then public opinion be obtained by holding fresh elections.
