MUZAZFFARABAD: Nomination papers of AJK Acting president Chaudhry Latif Akbar have been rejected. As per media report the nomination papers of Chaudhry Latif Akbar were challenged by rival candidate Saqib Majid Raja. The petitioner took the plea Chaudhry Latif Akhbar is holding a constitutional office and he cannot contest election in this capacity. Returning Officer (RO) heard the arguments of the respondents on written petition. Chaudhry Shaukat Advocate gave arguments from the side of Latif Akbar. While announcing the judgment following the completion of the arguments the RO rejected the nomination papers. The process of scrutiny of nomination papers in different constituencies in AJK is underway in connection with AJK election. ONLINE
