Former AJK Prime Minister (PM) Sardar Ilyas Tanvir has resigned from basic membership of PPP inflicting a big political blow to party. As per media reports, Sardar Ilyas Tanvir has sent his resignation to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
PPP central leadership, Governor Punjab, governor KP, Chaudhry Riaz and other leaders tried to compromise Sardar Tanvir Ilyas during the last three days. However the efforts could not succeed.
Sardar Tanvir Ilyas has decided to part ways with PPP over the matter of distribution of party tickets for the coming AJK general election.
Sardar Tanvir Ilyas had given application to parliamentary board for party ticket from central Bagh, Pachiot and Neelum.
The spokesperson of Sardar Tanvir Ilyas has confirmed report of his resignation from the PPP.
