KARACHI
Pakistan’s white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson, has stated that the national team is progressing in the right direction, but emphasized that significant work remains before they can be considered a world-class side.
In his statement, Hesson said that Pakistan must understand the demands of modern white-ball cricket and adapt their strategies according to the evolving game.
He highlighted that making better decisions in high-pressure matches is the biggest challenge, as the right call at crucial moments often makes the difference between victory and defeat.
He also stressed that consistency is essential for World Cup success, and that in modern T20 cricket, having a strong batting line-up down to numbers eight and nine is imperative, enabling the team to maintain an aggressive approach regardless of the situation.
The head coach further asserted that the Pakistani team will enter the World Cup not merely to gain experience, but with a firm resolve to win the title.
