KARACHI: JI Amir Karachi Munim Zafar has said spreading HIV cases in children is job of Sindh government. Sindh government has presented budget of over Rs 300 billions. Provincial government says it has done too much work in health but its job is spreading HIV among children. As per media report he said this while addressing a press conference in Abbasi Shaheed hospital. He said that 78 innocent children were affected by HIV for ever and Saeed Ghani has confirmed HIV in 78 children. Today’s press conference is in respect of pitiable plight of Abbasi Shaheed hospital due to mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, he said adding young doctors and PG are protesting since last 8 days but occupying mayor has no time for solving the problem of the doctors. The doctors are protesting because their salaries are pending since two months. The salary of doctors is Rs 65000 per months but Rs 45000 are paid to them per month. Here the salaries of doctors are less than guards who are being paid salary Rs 55000 per month.
He pointed out that funds are being released to private hospitals but funds are not being provided to the largest hospital of metropolitan Karachi.
Medical stores are being run by private parties in Abbasi hospital and this all is being done under patronage of occupying mayor.
