A crime meeting was held at the DPO Office Swat under the chairmanship of District Police Officer (DPO) Swat, Muhammad Umar Khan, to review police performance and discuss pending criminal cases in detail.
The meeting was attended by SP Investigation Muhammad Jameel Akhtar, SP Operations Ghulam Sadiq Khan, SP Headquarters Atta Ullah Shams, ASP UT Noor Hayat, along with all SDPOs and SHOs of the district.
During the meeting, the DPO reviewed the performance of all police stations and assessed the progress of actions taken against criminal activities. He directed officers to give priority to the disposal of heinous cases, ensure the arrest of nominated accused and proclaimed offenders, and intensify efforts against criminal elements.
The DPO also ordered a vigorous crackdown on narcotics and instructed officers to take strict legal action against drug traffickers and individuals involved in other criminal activities.
He directed all SHOs to ensure effective patrolling in their respective jurisdictions and to accelerate operations against gangs involved in theft and other property crimes.
He emphasized that the protection of the lives and property of citizens, along with the prompt resolution of their legitimate grievances, remains the Police Department’s top priority. He further instructed officers to treat complainants with courtesy, resolve their lawful issues without delay, and dispose of all applications marked by the office within 10 days.
To maintain law and order across the district, the DPO directed police stations to continue search-and-strike operations, establish checkpoints at strategic locations, conduct late-night snap checking on major highways, and strengthen patrolling and market checking to prevent theft and robbery.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the DPO ordered commendation certificates for officers demonstrating outstanding performance, while directing that show-cause notices be issued to SHOs found negligent in the discharge of their duties.
