ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of ten mountaineers, including the renowned Nirmal Purja, in the avalanche on Broad Peak, Gilgit-Baltistan. In a post on his X handle, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to the governments and peoples of China, Nepal, Oman, the United Kingdom and the United States. Ishaq Dar said Pakistan also mourns one of its own mountaineers, Sohail Sakhi of Hunza, whose courage and abiding passion for the high mountains will be remembered with pride. DNA
