Ghanaian Higher Education delegation visits Riphah Int’l University

ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Ghana visited Riphah International University, Islamabad, on Wednesday to explore opportunities for academic cooperation, research collaboration, and institutional partnerships between Pakistan and Ghana.
The delegation, comprising senior representatives from Ghanaian higher education institutions, arrived in Islamabad on 12 August, 2026 and was warmly received by officials of Riphah International University. The visit is aimed at strengthening international academic linkages and promoting cooperation in higher education, healthcare education, and research.
The visiting delegation is led by Mr. Jacob Fynn, Chief Executive Officer of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana. During the visit, the delegation will engage with the leadership of Riphah International University, including the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Executive Director, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Registrar, Deans, and Directors to discuss avenues for mutual collaboration.
The delegation was welcomed at an official dinner hosted by Riphah International University at RIHCA Café, G-7 Campus, attended by senior university leadership. The event provided an opportunity for academic dialogue, cultural exchange, and discussions on future cooperation.
During their stay, the delegation will visit different campuses of Riphah International University, including Gulberg Greens Campus, Riphah Medical City, and G-7 Campus, where they will tour academic facilities, healthcare institutions, and professional education centers. The program also includes visits to the Dental College & Hospital and meetings with relevant academic leadership.
The university has arranged a comprehensive program for the visiting delegation through multiple committees responsible for academic engagements, protocol, hospitality, campus visits, media coordination, and operational management. The arrangements are designed to facilitate meaningful interaction and identify potential areas of collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion, the university officials highlighted the importance of international partnerships in advancing higher education, research, innovation, and professional training. They expressed hope that the visit would open new avenues for collaboration between Riphah International University and Ghanaian institutions in areas including medical and dental education, allied health sciences, faculty development, student exchange, and joint research initiatives.
The visit reflects Riphah International University’s continued efforts to expand its global academic network and contribute towards strengthening educational ties between Pakistan and African countries.
