Interior minister is right, system has failed: Minister for housing, works

Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Pirzada has said interior minister is right that system has failed.
Senate standing committee for housing and works met under its chairman senator Nasir Butt.
As per media report, the matter of adjustment of former employees of PWD in different departments and non payment of pension to them came up under discussion in the meeting.
Member committee said husbands of over 100 women have passed away during service but outstanding dues have not been paid to them.
Senator Khalida Ateeb said that matter of pension related to PWD employees is very sensitive. Pension and salaries are not being paid to the adjusted employees in CDA.
Secretary housing said according to his information salaries are being paid to the employees. CDA has told that salaries are being paid to 1468 employees.
Housing minister said these are weaknesses of system due to which institutions are closed. Officers have not to give reply and we have to give reply. Government is not a charity.
He said no work is done on humanitarian basis.
Senator Khalida Ateeb said payment of their dues to those who spent their prime time of life in serving department is their right.
Housing minister said if these people were doing good work then why the institution was closed.
Senator Hidayat Ullah said interior minister has said system has failed .

Housing minister said frauds of billion of rupees are committed through fake letters.
Chairman committee said we have to bring some betterment. Paying salaries to PWD employees in different departments is big achievement.
