IGP Rizvi pushes transparent recruitment, citizen-centric policing to raise service standards

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Sunday chaired an important meeting with DIG Headquarters, DIG Law and Order and other senior officers, directing them to adopt modern, transparent and citizen-centric measures in recruitment and public service delivery.
An official told APP that the meeting reviewed the ongoing and upcoming recruitment processes, public-friendly initiatives and measures aimed at further improving services for citizens, said a press release here.
IGP Rizvi stressed that transparency and merit should remain central to the recruitment process, while modern practices should be adopted to further improve policing standards.
The meeting also reviewed various public-friendly initiatives and discussed measures to make police services more accessible, prompt and effective for citizens.
Rizvi directed senior officers to focus on improving the quality of service delivery and ensure that citizens receive prompt, effective and quality police services.
He said modern and citizen-centric policing measures should be strengthened to improve public facilitation and bring further improvement in the overall standard of policing in the federal capital.
