Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday paid tribute to Nishan-e-Haider recipient Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed on his martyrdom day, saying that his sacrifice, courage and service to the nation remain a source of pride for Pakistan.
In his message, Mohsin Naqvi said that Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed set an enduring example of bravery through his actions and sacrifice.
He stated that the martyr wrote a remarkable chapter of courage with his blood and left behind a legacy that continues to inspire future generations.
The interior minister said that Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed represents courage, determination and love for the homeland.
He added that his role during the 1965 war remains an important part of Pakistan’s military history.
Mohsin Naqvi noted that Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed stopped the enemy’s advance at the BRB Canal and successfully defended the area during a critical phase of the war. He said that by resisting a numerically larger enemy force, the martyr demonstrated exceptional commitment and resolve.
Referring to the 1965 war, the minister said that Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed sacrificed his life in the defence of Lahore and played a key role in protecting the city. He added that his services for the country and his devotion to duty will always be remembered.
The interior minister said that brave sons of the nation like Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed are a source of pride for the country. He stated that the nation honours those who laid down their lives for the protection of Pakistan and its sovereignty.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the sacrifices made by the martyrs of the nation hold a significant place in history. He added that the courage shown by Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed in the face of a larger enemy force will continue to be remembered by the nation.
The minister further said that the blood of the martyrs remains the foundation of the country’s security, survival and dignity.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s peace and strength are linked to the sacrifices rendered by its martyrs.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the sacrifice of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed will always live in the hearts of the people and that the nation will continue to remember his services and devotion to Pakistan.
