District Police Officer (DPO) Haroon Rashid Khan has directed police officials to accelerate action against criminal elements, drug peddlers and other offenders, while ensuring transparent and merit-based investigations into pending cases.
He issued these directives while chairing a high-level meeting of police officers to review the law and order situation, crime control measures and the progress of ongoing investigations in the district.
SP Investigation Tahir Iqbal Khan, SP Havelian Ayaz Mahmood, all sub-divisional police officers (SDPOs), station house officers (SHOs) and investigation officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DPO conducted a detailed review of the overall security situation, crime prevention efforts and cases under investigation. He directed all SHOs and investigation officers to ensure the early disposal of pending cases strictly on merit and maintain transparency throughout the investigation process.
He also called for intensifying the crackdown on criminal elements, drug dealers and individuals involved in other unlawful activities.
Mr Khan stressed that police officials must treat complainants and visitors to police stations courteously and utilise all available resources to resolve their grievances promptly.
He reiterated that the protection of the lives and property of the public remained the top priority of Abbottabad Police, adding that negligence or dereliction of duty would not be tolerated.
