Advisor to the Chief Minister on the merged districts and spokesman of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Ajmal Wazir has said that in line with the government’s priority for the fastest development of the newly merged districts, the process of up bringing was going on in full swing adding that for this purpose both the federal and the provincial governments were providing all kinds of resources. He said these districts would soon be at par with other parts of the country and deprivations of tribals would come to an end.
These views he expressed at his public meetings and separate discussions with the tribal elders during his four day official visit of South Waziristan.
He said that areas stretching from South Waziristan upto Bajwar had abandunt resources of natural beauty as well as minerals and mines, however the black law of FCR had totally frozen the pace of development in those areas. Such a restricting environment had given birth to poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and lawlessness and as a result other parts of the country were also getting affected. However, by the grace of Almighty Allah all such problems have become a story of the past as the government in line with the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Imran khan gave practical shape to the merger of tribal districts by doing necessary amendments in the constitution. The process of integrating the administrative, financial and judicial powers was going on successfully adding that the most difficult procedure of merging 28000 khasadar and levy into police force has also been accomplished successfully. Credit of this achievement, he said, was to be given to Prime Minister Imran khan and Chief Minister Mehmood khan who by dint of hard work made it possible in a short period of time.
Ajmal Wazir khan on this occasion thanked the Prime minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mehmood khan for having confidence in him regarding the merger of tribal districts.
The said that a 10-year development program has been devised for the merged district according on which a sum of rupees one billion would be spent on it. Moreover, “Sehat Insaf Card” and interest free loan schemes and many other such projects have also been initiated. He said that an era of development, peace and prosperity would soon usher in. The people of those areas thanked him for taking serious interest in development of newly merged districts.
