PESHAWAR: A group of senior doctors from Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) conducted a free medical camp at Peshawar Press Club for working journalists and their family members onFriday.
According to spokesperson for the LRH, about 400 journalists and their family members, mostly children and aged people were examined and free of cost medicines were provided to them. The medical camp was held on the request of Health Committee of Khyber Union of Journalists.
Senior doctors, including heart specialist Prof Dr Adnan Gul, orthopedic surgeon Prof. Dr Shahabuddin, ENT specialist Prof Dr Niamatullah, Prof. Dr Zafar Iqbal, Prof Dr Waqar Alam Jan, , Dr Mohammad Nawaz, children specialist Prof Dr Musa Kaleem, Prof Dr Aysha Zafar, Dr Kamran Hasan, Dr Ziaullah, Dr Ziauddin and others were present.
On the occasion, senior doctor and Medical Director of Lady Reading Hospital Prof Dr Mukhtiar Zaman vowed to hold such medical camp for journalists and their families in future as well. President Khyber Union of Journalists Saiful Islam Saifi lauded the visit and services of senior doctors to the Peshawar Press Club.
