GIS, Survey and Drawing technical staff meeting
Minister assured that fresh surveyors would be recruited
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Minerals Development Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli has termed mutual cooperation and coordination among Survey, Drawing and other wings of Minerals Development Department very necessary for the professional development of the department and said that both the surveyors and draftsmen were playing a key role in the development of mineral sector of the province. The minister assured that due to the deficiency of S&D staff in the department,fresh surveyors would be recruited for strengthening the said important wing of the department.
This she stated while chairing a joint meeting of GIS, Survey and Drawing technical staff of the department at her office Peshawar on Tuesday. DG Minerals Fazli Wahid and other highups attended the meeting.
During the meeting matters pertaining to GIS system, lease applications record submitted through online system and inthis regard a way forward after its scrutiny were discussed in detail.
On this occasion, it was told that through online application system, 745 applications had been received by the department, while its district wise classification was also made by the authorized team. During the meeting the minister directed that a full proof and covered by all aspects, leases profile and its area plotting data should be uploaded on the GIS system till 20thJanuary 2017.
She stressed upon all wings to develop mutual information sharing system and directed that the GIS management should prepare visit of regional offices of the department in order to collect authentic information date of various lease related matters as to upload it on the GIS system. The Minister directed to adopt a procedure for filing the regional data in the directorate also.
