About 85pc TDPs returned home, Sacrifices offered by Pak Army and tribals of FATA have resulted in restoring peace
PESHAWAR: The Khber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Eng. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA are fully united and they always remember the role and wisdom oriented leadership of Quaid e Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah with great pride and honour.
“After passing through trial ridden situation over the recent past, we have succeeded in putting our country on path for having better future and In-sha-Allah, the day is not far away, when our aspirations will be materialized in line with the dreams of our forefathers”, he said.
This, he has stated while addressing a grand ceremony arranged to commemorate the Birth Day (25th December) of the Father of the Nation at Governor’s House here today, the Friday. Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan addressed the ceremony as the chief guest which was largely attended by parliamentarians, prominent political and social figures and students.
Students also presented national songs and tables befitting to the occasion.
The Governor, while welcoming the President said, selfless role and sacrifices offered by Pak Army, security forces and the tribal people of FATA have resulted in restoring peace and normalcy both in the province and FATA.
He paid rich tributes to the personnel of the security forces and the people at large for facing every hour of tests with open heart and courage. However, he added, the challenges being faced to us are yet to over and still there exist certain milestones, requiring to be overcome.
While referring to Zarb e Azb, the Governor said, it is because of its tremendous success that writ of the state has been restored in FATA and now no one in group form, may dare to challenge the security forces in any part of the province and FATA.
Further, he said, repatriation process of temporarily displaced tribal families to their native places, have almost been completed and simultaneously, efforts for rehabilitation and re-construction of damaged infrastructures are also progressing well.
The entire nation, the Governor said, may justifiably remember the immortal sacrifices offered by the people of the province and FATA alongside the Pak Army and security forces with honour and pride.
The Governor also pointed out that the reforms process in FATA is being carried forward in accordance with the wishes and hopes of the respective tribal people.
