Afghan traders hold meeting with Pak authorities Officials at Torkham border

KHYBER: Afghan traders appraised the Pak custom and National Logistic Cell (NLC) officials of their grievances in a meeting held here at Torkham border last day. A delegation of Afghan businessmen led by chairman of Pak-Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khan Jan Alkozey meet with Director Headquarter Custom, Habib Ahmad and in- charged of NLC,Torkham center Mr Sattar and informed them of problems being faced by the Afghan traders. Habib Ahmad said that to release pressure on Torkham custom and to facilitate trader community, clearance of fresh fruits has been shifting to Ghulam Khan and Khar Lachi Border points. Keeping in view the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to establish trade ties with neighbors, efforts will be made to overcome hardships and to encourage business at the borders, he argued. The visiting delegation expressed their satisfaction over the assurance of the Pak officials and vowed that trading between the two brotherly countries will increase in future. Our Correspondent
