Apple unveils 5G-powered iPhone 12 devices

CUPERTINO: Apple rolled out its latest iPhone 12 series, the company’s first 5G-enabled phones, as the competition for the fifth-generation technology dominance heats up. The new models – iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max – were released at an online event at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, which was held online this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. “This is a huge leap for iPhone, bringing the best 5G experience in the market and delivering our most advanced technologies to users who want the absolute most from their iPhone,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said. “We are once again pushing the boundaries to deliver incredible computational photography advancements, super retina displays, and the biggest leap in durability in iPhone history,” he added Targeting the budget-conscious customers, iPhone 12 Mini and the iPhone 12 start from $699 and $799 respectively.
