Attempts to smuggle 40kg of opium to Karachi foiled

KARACHI: Excise police Kashmore failed to smuggle 40kg of opium to Karachi and arrested two accused and seized a truck used in the crime. According to the details, Excise Inspector Shamsuddin Chachar, along with his team, recovered forty kilograms opium and arrested two suspects Zaheer Khan and Nasir Khan while searching for a suspicious truck number C1505 at Wardak pump near Kashmore check post. According to the law, a case has been registered against accused and an investigation has been launched. Meanwhile, the Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, congratulated the successful operation and directed the officers and staff deployed at the border check posts to thwart all efforts to bring drugs into Sindh and save the younger generation from use of drugs.
