ISLAMABAD, Feb 26 (Online): Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia are rooted in deep religious and cultural values.
He expressed these views during his meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner (HC) in Malaysia Amna Sheikh here Friday who called on him in foreign office.
Amna Balocch informed Shah Mehmood Qureshi about the efforts made for strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Malaysia and boosting the bilateral cooperation in multidimensional sectors.
FM held that robust historical brotherly relations prevail between Pakistan and Malaysia. Pakistanis in large number are settled in Malaysia who are playing their respective role in the development of Malaysia, he added.
FM lauded the steps taken by Pakistan high commission in Malaysia for the welfare and uplift of Pakistani community.
He directed Pakistani high commissioner to help address the problems facing Pakistani community in Malaysia.
He thanked Amna Baloch for taking special care of Pakistani community during corona virus epidemic despite limited resources.
FM underlined the need for making further efforts to bolster economic cooperation with Malaysia in diverse sectors.
