CDA’s role in development, provision of quality services to residents pivotal: Sec. CADD

ISLAMABAD(INP): Role of the civic body, Capital Development Authority (CDA) in development of the federal capital and provision of quality services to its residents is pivotal and these services can further be improved by ensuring timely redressal of problems and complaints of the residents and in this context no laxity and unnecessary delay will be tolerated.
This was stated by Federal Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) and Chairman CDA, Hassan Iqbal while chairing a high level meeting at CDA Headquarters here on Wednesday. Member Administration, Member Planning and Design, Member Engineering, Financial Adviser / Member Environment, all director Generals and senior officers of different formations of the Authority attended the meeting.
Hassan Iqbal directed all Board Members and other senior officers of the Authority not only to dispose off daily business on daily basis but also notify a focal person from each directorate who will responsible for addressing queries of general public and maintaining proper liaison with other departments. He said that planning of all mega and public welfare projects, to be initiated in the city, should be feasible. He said that timely completion of all ongoing projects should be ensured and viable strategy be devised for initiating new development ventures.
Federal Secretary CADD and Chairman CDA said that both the CDA and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) will serve the residents within their domains. He said that senior officers of the Authority should adopt a effective strategy to improve performance of their respective wings so that not only general public could be facilitated in befitting manner but would also help deliver in more better way.
