Commissioner Dera chairs polio eradication review in DI Khan

A detailed review meeting on polio eradication and routine immunization campaigns in Dera Division was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dera Division, Dawood Khan.
The meeting was attended by Assistant to Commissioner (Planning and Development) Sajjad Baloch and World Health Organization (WHO) Team Lead Dr. Khalid Abdul Rahim, along with other relevant officials.
Commissioner Dawood Khan Khan highlighted that polio is a deadly disease and emphasized that it is the national responsibility of parents to ensure that children under the age of five receive polio drops to stay protected. He stated that the divisional administration has taken comprehensive administrative measures with effective coordination to prevent polio across the region. On the occasion, Dr. Khalid Abdul Rahim expressed satisfaction over Dera Division remaining completely polio-free during the first quarter of 2026. He attributed this achievement to strong coordination between technical teams and local administration, along with an effective strategy. He further noted that due to close collaboration among all concerned departments, vaccination targets were achieved with remarkable accuracy and success, calling it a commendable development.
