Dacoits gang held; valuable and snatched mobiles and weapon recovered

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested five persons involved in dacoities as well as street crime and recovered 13 mobile phones, two laptops weapon, daggers and face masks from their possession a police spokesman said.
According to details, DIG (Operations) Waqar-Ud-Din Syed ordered has directed all zonal officers to crackdown against criminals including those involved in dacoity and street crime and accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP (investigation) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted special teams under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Inspector
Abdul Gahfoor, Sub-Inspectors Khalid Maqsood, Qadir and ASI Jafer Ali along with other officials which successfully busted five members’ dacoit gang involved in snatching valuables at gun point.
They have been identified as Saif-Ur-Rehman, Shaker Abbasi, Imran , Musnaf Khan and Attaullah resident of sohan Islamabad.
Police team also recovered two laptops, 13 snatched mobile phone , two 30 bore pistols, two daggers, punch, face masks and others dacoity tools from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of looting people in area of Khanna, Shahzad Town Koral, and various areas of Rawalpindi.
Separate cases have been registered in Khanna police stations against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
