Dera police arrest over 104 outlaws in one month

The district police arrested 104 outlaws and seized a large amount of arms and ammunition during various operations conducted against criminals in the district over the last month.
The police conducted various drives against illegal arms during October on the directives district police officer and seized 16 Kalashankov, 90 pistals, 87 guns, 41 rifles, four knives and 2088 rounds of different bores.
The police also recovered over 36 kilgoram hashish, over four kilogram heroin, 71 bottles of wine and large quantity of bhang during operation against drugs and narcotics during the same period.
The police also conducted snap checking at various places and rounded up several accused and recovered illegal arms of different types.
During the same period, several challans were issued for violating traffic rules and enhanced number of traffic wardens was deployed in main city areas in order to avoid traffic mess.
The district police have received wide applause for their performance.

The DPO has also appreciated bravery of police force and added it was committed to protecting lives and property of citizens.

He urged the police to keep close liaison with the citizen whose property and life would be protected at all costs and no negligence would be tolerated on this front.

He said no one would be allowed to take law into his own hands, adding strict action would be taken against those who were found involved in criminal activities.

He also appealed people to cooperate with police to promote brotherhood, tolerance and religious harmony for ensuring durable peace in the district which had witnessed subversive acts in past.
