Dollar sheds Rs1.77 in two days, slips to Rs159.28


KARACHI: Pakistani rupee gained 81 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank on Wednesday. According to a tweet of the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar was opened at Rs160.09 and closed at Rs159.28. This has been the second major gain of the rupee against dollar during the last two days. The local currency gained Re0.96 against the greenback on Tuesday last. Meanwhile, the liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stand at US $20.08 billion by the week ended on November 13, 2020, the central bank said in another tweet.
