Efficient local govt system established in KP: Inayat Ullah

PESHAWAR (PR): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Department Inayat Ullah has said that most efficient and beneficial system of local government has been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that no other province can compete with it. The provincial government has taken steps to strengthen the system of districts, tehsils and village councils of the local government and for this purpose a fund worth Rs.30 Billion has been released to the local government departments. Therefore all elected members should take keen interest in solving problems of the people. This he said while addressing as chief guest to the three days training workshop of Naib Nazimeen from all over the province in Peshawar.
The training program was arranged and facilitated by Local Governance School Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Syed Jamal Uddin Shah Secretary Local Government, Chief of Project KPK Javed Hassan, Director IM Sciences Mohsin, PDO Project Nighat Kamdar, Shumaila Tabassum and Nazimeen were also present on the occasion.
The senior minister further said that local government system has initiated a new era of development in the province. No area will be ignored or remain destitute from the benefits of the system or will remain in the books of backward areas. Senior Minster said that he personally has gained the experience and was an elected Nazim in the past so he is aware of the problems and difficulties faced by Nazimeen, several changes have been made in the system and rules to so as to make the system able to minimize problems of the people. He said if all the Nazimeen remained honest to their oath of performing their duties and responsibilities with honesty and dignity, the province would be on the track of progress.
