Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has welcomed the tour of Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov to Pakistan after hiatus of nine years, urged the government to revisit foreign policy and frame it in the better national interest.
“Wars become a major cause of humanity’s destruction. World community should hold a comparative analysis on Pakistani nation sacrifices and resilient in the prolonged war that was being fought against terrorism”, says Faiq Shah in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
Need to work together to bring sustainable peace, stability and progress to improve the living standard of millions of people, he emphasized.
Faiq Shah asserted that Pakistan foreign policy should be revisited and framed in the best interest of the whole nation. He stressed that the concerted efforts need to be initiated to ensure fundamental rights of oppressive nations and building everlasting stability in the entire region. Rivals can become allies, he added.
The ATP chairman called upon the world to compare unmatched sacrifices and nation’s resilience that had been rendered and displayed during war that “How hundreds of people rendered their lives to get rid from foreign war”?
Massive sacrifices rendered by Jawans of Pak-Army and people, but the world has played a role as a silent spectator, he lamented.
Faiq Shah noticed that Pakistan’s economy, society and people suffered with critical and crippling conditions, urging the developed nations to consider the gravity of the situation. He went on to say that it is the duty of Russia, US, Britain, and that to accelerate efforts for bringing everlasting and sustainable peace and development in Afghanistan.
Besides, he emphasized that to ensure joint interventions in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other international development projects so it will play a catalyst role to improve living standard of humans.
Hailing the Russian stance for resolution of core issue of Kashmir as per UN charter, Faiq Shah urged the Moscow Kremlin to persuade India to get-back its decision, which it has taken on August 05 and bring her on her negotiation table so it will pave the way for economic development in the whole region.
