Federal Cabinet to review political, economic standings


Islamabad: Federal Cabinet is all set to review overall economic and political condition of country in its meeting under Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Tuesday). Meeting will have a twenty-point agenda, sources said. The cabinet will discuss New Zealand’s final minute series withdrawal and its financial and reputational setbacks. Meeting will also discuss proceedings made on electronic voting machines (EVMs) and giving right to vote for overseas Pakistanis. An amendment in rules of business – 1973 of ministry of communications is expected to be made.
Cabinet will approve appointment of chairman of trading corporation Pakistan. NADRA’s financial year 2021’s audit will also be affirmed in the meeting, sources said. Federal Cabinet will approve enrolment of Uzbekistan in ‘business visa list’.
Furthermore, important decisions such as import of commercial films from regional countries, approval of Jammu and Kashmir state property budget and appointment of DRAP chairman will also be made during the meeting.
