‘FM Radio 88.6 role is important to inform public about traffic regulation’

The Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has appreciated the role of FM Radio 88.6 in creating public awareness about the rules and regulation of traffic and its system.
He asked the people to reach their destination on time and be provided transport facilities by City Traffic Police Peshawar which is a revolutionary step through IT reforms.
He expressed these views while addressing the people lives on FM Radio 88.6 of City Traffic Police Peshawar here on Wednesday. Abbas Majeed said that the traffic Police Peshawar was showing better results in providing travel facilities to the citizens through FM radio and a large number of people are appreciating it including the use of which City Traffic Police Peshawar.
Traffic police chief said that revolutionary changes have been brought in traffic system through IT reforms under which trackers have been installed.
Traffic officers at the points are changed every month and they are regularly informed through messages, adding that cameras have been installed in the vehicles of traffic officers under e-patrolling system which has regular recordings which are recorded in the command control room.
Steps are taken to solve the problem of traffic jams or other problems immediately he added. Similarly, under IT reforms, e-challan system can be used to easily track traffic violators against whom the law is against.
He informed that the driving license is revoked by taking action according to. The department has activated all the social media websites through which the citizens are informed about the traffic system every fifteen minutes so that they can travel on clear roads and they do not face any problem.
Significant results are emerging in the improvement of the traffic system which is being appreciated by the people, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said.
He said that City Traffic Police Peshawar had informed the citizens about the prevention of corona virus during the epidemic situation and continued to issue instructions on precautionary measures as well as distribution of free masks among the citizens and action against those who did not wear masks.
In his message, he said that citizens should ensure implementation of traffic rules and cooperate fully with the traffic staff so that accidents are reduced and only the citizens have access to transport facilities.
