ISLAMABAD : Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi statement for peace and security in Afghanistan through an Afghan led and Afghan-owned process has been twisted and misquoted which is regrettable. .
This was said by Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry in a statement issued here Monday.
In fact the FM talked of consensus among the international community and, regional countries and Afghans against the monster of terrorism, he remarked. His comments can not be presented out of context as having been tilted towards the support of any particular side.
He went on to say that Pakistan has made it clear again and again that it has no favorite in Afghanistan. We see all sides involved in this conflict as Afghans and those Afghanis who have to decide their future.
He reiterated we will continue to play our role as purposeful facilitator in Afghan peace process.
展e once again renew our resolve to utilize all our energies in finding political solution to Afghan conflict, he underlined.
