GWADAR
Authorities in Gwadar have imposed temporary business hour limits to manage expected energy shortages tied to regional instability. This move aims to protect operations in Pakistan’s key China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) port city, Gwadar Pro reported.
The restrictions follow instructions from Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar consulted with local traders and business leaders, officials said. According to the new regulations, shopping malls and commercial centers must close by 8:00 PM, while restaurants, hotels, and most offices—including the passport office—must shut by 10:00 PM.
