Hockey event of Bannu Sports Gala got underway at Qazi Mohib Hockey Stadium Bannu. In the opening match, Bacha Khan Hockey Club Bannu defeated Khadim Hockey Club Bannu by 16-0.
Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Kashif Farhan, Regional Sports Officer Bannu Shafqatullah and other attended the opening ceremony. In first match Bacha Khan Club showed an aggressive game, taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and taking their lead to 10-0 in half-time.
They continued their onslaught in the third quarter, scoring five more goals to make the score 15-0. In the last quarter, they sealed the victory with a final goal to win the match.
Notable performances came from Mamoon, Saadullah, Faizan and Ahmed.
Most of the players of Bacha Khan Club are playing from different departments like WAPDA MPCL, Pak Army, Pak Navy, PIA, Pak Customs etc.
