Islamia School wins Region Inter-District Cricket title

New Islamia High School Mohmand beat Usmania Model School and College District Khyber by five wicket and won the Peshawar Region Inter-District School Championship. Chief guest Deputy Director Sports Zamirullah distributed prizes at the closing ceremony.
He was accompanied by Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Kashif Farhan, DSO Mohmand Faisal Javed, DSO Zakaullah, Supervisor Yusuf Khan. The final of the Peshawar Regional Inter-District Cricket Tournament was organized at Tehsil Ground Pabbi Nowshera in collaboration with Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and under the supervision of Peshawar Regional Sports Office. Talking to the media, Kashif Farhan said that under the leadership of DG Sports Abdul Nasir and under the supervision of Provincial Sports Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan, efforts are being made to promote sports at the grass root level and this tournament is part in this regard, he said that the winner team of region will represent their region in the inter-regional schools tournament commencing from November 21.
He hoped that New Islamia School will shine the name of the region and the province by performing well in the inter-regional cricket tournament and the national championship.
