Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has rescheduled date of entry test for admissions in its Peshawar, Swat and Kohat campuses in allied health sciences programs from Sunday, 8th November to Saturday, 7th November 2020 due to a test to be held by HEC on Sunday, 8th November, 2020 under the project titled as “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the students of Baluchistan & erstwhile FATA-Phase-II project” for undergraduate Programs.
In a press statement released by KMU directorate of admissions said that this decision has been made considering requests received from candidates and HEC for changing the date of KMU entrance test for allied health sciences programs. Details about test centers will be shared on KMU web site www.kmuadmissions.pk and ETEA official web site www.etea.edu.pk well before 7th November, 2020. Candidates are directed to keep themselves updated by visiting these official websites.
It is worth mentioning that KMU will conduct entrance test for admissions in its Peshawar, Swat and Kohat campuses through ETEA, for undergraduate programs including Doctor of Physical Therapy, BS Speech & Language Pathology (SLP), BS Occupational Therapy (OT), BS Audiology, BS Prosthetics & Orthotics Sciences, BS Nursing, BS Paramedical Sciences and BS Public Health in the constituent institutes for session 2020-21, on Saturday, 7th November 2020 at 08:30 A.M. It shall be simultaneously arranged in different cities of Peshawar, Malakand, Hazara and DI Khan divisions.
Candidates already applied through online portal shall login using credentials communicated through SMS during medical entrance test Registration process. A candidate who wants to appear in KMU allied health sciences entrance test shall select “Yes” option & updated choice of center. His/her previous application submitted for ETEA Medical Entrance Test 2020 and fee will be considered for the said test.
A candidate who does not want to appear in KMU allied health sciences entrance test shall select “NO” option. His/her fee submitted for ETEA Medical Entrance Test2020 will be refunded from 04.11.2020 & onwards. Candidates who have previously not registered for ETEA Medical Entrance Test 2020 shall create account by using pin code on scratch card (Rs 3000) duly available in designated branches of MCB Bank Ltd in the aforesaid regions through KMU online portal (http://kmuadmissions.pk).
All fresh candidates shall download and print new roll No slips (system generated). Candidates having domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Merged Area Districts (MAD) are eligible for the test only. Candidates seeking admission in KMU allied health sciences undergraduate programs having obtained minimum 60% unadjusted marks for DPT, BS SLP, BS OT and 50% unadjusted marks for BS Public Health, BS Nursing, BS Paramedics, BS Audiology, BS Prosthetics & Orthotics in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination are eligible.
The candidates can register online for the said entrance test up to 03.11.2020, where as the entrance test shall comprise a single question paper containing 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided into four sections i.e Biology 40 %, Chemistry 30 %, Physics 20 % and English 10 %. The duration of the test shall be two hours and the total marks shall be 100.
There shall be no negative marking. The syllabus is available on KMU website (http://kmuadmissions.pk).
