KP agriculture dept fails to grant RTI request even in two months

The Agriculture and Livestock Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has failed to furnish information on a Right to Information (RTI) the request filed under KP Right to Information ACT 2013 despite lapse of over two months.
According to details available with Daily Lead Pakistan, a citizen had filed an RTI request to the office of Secretary Agriculture under his office in March this year seeking information about the vehicles purchased by the seven Directorates of Agriculture and livestock in the province for their BS-17 to BS 20 officers.
The vehicles have purchased for the Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Directorate of Agricultural Research, Directorate of Livestock Extension, Directorate of Livestock Research, Directorate of Water Management and Directorate of Agricultural Engineering.
The applicant also seeks information of various tenders of the Research and Directorate of Agricultural Extension so far.
In case of non-provision of the information by the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, the applicant is considering referring the matters to the Chief Commissioner RTI commission KP.
