Senior Minister KP for Tourism, Sports Culture Muhammad Atif Khan Wednesday formally inaugurated 33.40 kilometers long Mardan Ring Road costing Rs1137 million.
MPAs Iftikhar Mashwani, Zahir Shah Toru, Abdus Salam Afrid, Malik Shaukat, Ameer Farzand Khan, Tufail Anjum,MNA Mujahid Khan and local people attended the inaugural ceremony.
The Senior Minister in his address said the success of the PTI with thumping majority in the KP for the second time in a row in the July 2018 spoke of the facts that the rulers who served the masses in true sense were highly praised by their masses through balloting.
The politicians who betrayed their people were always rejected by the masses through the power of vote, he told the people.
The PTI Government, he said from day one was engaged in efforts to provide basic amenities of life to the people at their door step. That is why the people of KP re-elected the PTI in the general elections which is a record in the parliamentary history of the province, he added.
Due to better performance of the previous PTI government in the KP from 2013-18,the PTI formed the government again in the KP with two third majority.
He informed that works on mega development schemes like construction of major roads, bridges, children hospital, Cadet College and up-gradation of BHUs was underway in Mardan district.
The KP people have abolished the traditional politics and voted for new Pakistan in July 2018 expressing confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said was out to end the sense of deprivations of the people of the country and wanting to establish a government where merit, law and justice prevailed.
