Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operation Mansoor Aman said Monday that media is playing important role in identifying social evils.
He was holding anintroductory meeting with Crime and Journalists Forum (CTJF) at Malik Saad Shaheed police line, Peshawar.
On the occasion, SSP also prayed for the departed soul of Senior Journalist Syed Fakhruddin, who died due to Covid-19 and tributes were paid to his services.
The members of CTJF discussed various issues related to the SSP operation and also give various suggestions for rectification of the situation.
On the occasion, SSP Operations lauded the role of Peshawar media in solving social problems and highlighting the positive image of the police in the society.
He said that law and order situation will be improved in the city while, taking actions against the mafias is one of the priority.
He added that well-experienced, highly educated and well-rounded personnel would be deployed in the police stations and activating women’s desks in police stations to address women’s issues.
SSP operations Mansoor Aman added further that installation of CCTV cameras would be more effective to maintain check and balance at police stations and to further improve law and order situation.
