Murderer who killed his wife arrested

Capital City Police on Monday solved a murder case within 48 hours and arrested the man who was killed his wife over a family dispute, an official said.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gulbahar Hassan Jahangir told a press conference the police also recovered five cellphones and vehicle from the accused.
Flanked by SHO Phandu Irfan Khan, he said that one Saira Sahar Bibi, a resident of Islamabad told the Phandu police that unknown persons had shot dead her sister Nabila Kanwal. She was working as a driver with Careem.
He said, the complainant said that her sister had contracted marriage with one Ilyas, a resident of Haji Camp a few years ago. She said that later they go divorced and Nabila then married off to another man Abdul Basit, a resident of Ijazabad.
He said, the husband of the victim initially told the police that some valuables were also missing from the house and the incident seems to be a robbery attempt. However, he said the investigators were not convinced and investigated the case from all angles.
ASP Gulbahar Hassan Jahangir said that the CCPO Qazi Jamilur Rehman took notice of the incident and formed a police team under the supervision of SSP Operations Javed Iqbal. SP City Shahzada Kokab Farooq and other cops were also included in the investigation team.
He said the police investigate the case on scientific lines and found out that the second spouse had killed the woman after developing some differences over domestic disputes.

He said the accused has been arrested who has confessed to have committed the crime. He said the police also recovered five cellphones, an VXR car bearing no VC/7422 and other valuables item from the accused.
