Blue Veins, a non-governmental organization working for rights of transgender people, has launched TransMuhafiz application to protect transgender people from violence.
Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club, Coordinator of the NGO Qamar Nasim said that around seven eunuchs were killed, adding that ratio of registration of FIR regarding violence on them was lower than 10 percent.
He said that the App would help keep record of violence on transgender people throughout the country.
The transgender people would be able to share security alerts with each other. “Since 2015, around 54 transgender persons have been killed while 208 cases of tortures against them reported,” Qamar Naseem said.
