ISLAMABAD : PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has said no representative of Nawaz Sharif has met Army Chief and whosoever has met army chief has met on his own.
“no representative of Nawaz Sharif has met army chief. If some one has met army chief he has met on his own. An elected Prime Minister (PM) was disqualified on the petition of absconder”, she said this in an informal chat with the journalists in court room here Wednesday.
“we have not raised the question of proclaimed offender earlier while we should have raised it. The proclaimed offender appeared in the court within the jurisdiction of police station of which limits he belonged to , she remarked.
The health of Nawaz Sharif warrants operation but he cannot undergo operation due to coronavirus epidemic , she added. Nawaz Sharif immune system is weak. His treatment through medicines is underway.
When asked what is her stance on the meeting of parliamentary leaders with army chief she said will your channel run it what I say.
According to my information the meeting has taken place in Rawalpindi rather than Islamabad. I am not in favor of such meetings”, she underlined.
Nawaz Sharif is suffering from heart disease but his spirit is not affected by any ailment, she observed. Rigging had taken place 3 months before elections.
She said people are talking about division in PML-N. They should keep in mind Shahbaz Sharif is very loyal brother of Nawaz Sharif and he will not part ways. Had Shahbaz wanted to part ways he would have been PM today, she remarked. But Shahbaz Sharif preferred his brother to premiership.
