Nooriabad Police arrests Killers of suspected thief

Chilling realities came to fore here on Monday pertaining to the incident of killing a suspected thief near the Jungshahi area of Thatta four days back when an all-inclusive probe into the matter by Nooriabad Police found that the deceased identified as Aleem Palari was not a thief but was killed while resisting a robbery attempt.
According to the inquiry report of police Aleem Palari and his two accomplices Sabhu Palari and Javed worked at the dairy farm were on their way back when three armed assailants namely Majeed Jakhro, Zaheer Jakhro, and Mumtaz Jakhro intercepted them and wanted them to rob of cash but Aleem and his accomplice posed stiff resistance that resulted into the killing of Aleem Palari while two others sustained injuries.
The armed men took Sabuu and Javed to an unknown place where they subjected them to brutal torture to compel them to confess the theft of electric cables from the tower of the wind plant and later handed them over to Jungshahi police but following the jurisdiction issue they were shifted to Noori Abad police station that falls within the jurisdiction of Jamshoro district. Following a protest held by the heirs of deceased Aleem Palari and the two detainees, Nooriabad police launched a detailed inquiry into the incident.
The police report revealed that all three armed assailants Majeed Jakhro, Zaheer Jakhro, and Mumtaz Jakhro who masqueraded themselves as the watchmen of the wind plant were notorious criminals wanted by police in different cases. Meanwhile, SHO Nooriabad told local reporters that the police had nabbed all three criminals late on Sunday night and lodged an FIR against them under section 302, 392, 506/2 337-F and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code 1860.
