Number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 surpassed 150000 on Monday for the first time : Asad Umar


ISLAMABAD : Minister for Planning Asad Umar said it was the first time that number of the persons who were administered vaccination against COVI19 surpassed 150000 on Monday as 160000 persons were vaccinated in single day.

In a tweet on Tuesday, he said the vaccination process of people aged forty and above was also started yesterday across the country.

He said that the total number of persons who were vaccinated has soared beyond 2766000.

In other tweet he said betterment has come in implementation of SOPs due to robust steps taken by the government including deployment of army.

There is need to maintain the level of implementation of SOPs till Eid, he marked. 88 percent SOPs were implemented in federation till May 03 which is higher than others. The lowest ratio of implementation of corona virus SOPs was witnessed in Sindh which stands at 45 percent.
